SPRING RECITAL

Friday, May 20, 2022, 7:00 PM New Presbyterian Church 512 NE 26th St
Wilton Manors, Fl 33305

Student Attire: Formal recital attire is required - No denim jackets, jeans, shorts, short skirts, clunky shoes, sneakers, jeans, t shirts, long nails, football cleats....etc. No long nails will be permitted as they can actually damage the piano keys in addition to making it very difficult to perform.

Acceptable: Long and dressy dresses for the girls (fancy party dresses for very young girls) and dress shoes, slacks, button up dress shirts and ties and/or jackets for the boys.

Unacceptable: Boat shoes, Dockers, casual brown loafers, flip flops, black sneakers, and actually, casual shoes, or sneakers of ANY kind are not appropriate for a recital and will not be permitted on stage. If you question whether something is appropriate, please ask me.

If a student performer is inappropriately attired, I will ask you to take them home to change to more appropriate attire.

This is non-negotiable and is very important. I appreciate your showing of respect for the event and for your understanding and cooperation. Our students have worked so hard to prepare for an event like this and we appreciate showing your support in this regard.

You may invite friends and family.

There will be a reception. Please bring a platter of finger foods, fruits/veg, cheese/ crackers or a dessert to share. I will provide the punch and paper goods.

Face masks are not required. Please wear a mask if you feel more comfortable.

Love,
Mrs. Purchase

February and March News

Happy February and March!

We have been very busy, preparing for evaluations and auditions in addition to supporting Broward County Music Teachers Association at Musicthon.

MUSICTHON INFO: Amount raised by our studio - $1946.00

I am happy to report that our studio raised the most money of any participating studio for our BCMTA Annual Musicthon fundraiser, held January 21-23, 2022 at the Galleria Mall in Ft. Lauderdale. We were so proud to see 100% participation among our studio's families. Even those who were unable to physically be present made a donation. Because of your sacrifice of time and resources, we were also able to make a generous donation to our partner nonprofit, 4Kids of South Fl. Thank you to each and every family for your participation!

I strongly encourage you to apply for BCMTA Summer Arts Camp scholarships this spring! Copy and paste the URL into your web browser.
