Dear Families,
I hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready to jump into the fall semester with renewed energy and enthusiasm! We have said goodbye to graduating seniors and are saying hello to a few new families that are joining us this year. Please take the time to introduce yourselves to one another and welcome them warmly.
Just a few new items to share with you as we begin the school year:
1. In a separate email, you will be receiving the Schedule and Swap List, the Student Login Info and Password and the Studio Calendar of Events (which is subject change)
2. This year we implemented an Activities Fee which was due August 1st. This was initiated to consolidate all registration fees for Guild, Student Day, Federation (1 event), Theory packets (1) and the Spring Recital, based upon your selected Course of Study. The Activities Fee will eliminate (for the most part) the periodic payments and reminders throughout the year, making the administration of our events more efficient and effective.
3. Music Masters Theory Packets will be ordered after the first lesson of the semester. (August 25-28, 2014)
4. For your convenience, we will be offering the option to pay by credit card through Square. If you choose to pay your tuition this way, please come into the lesson 5 minutes before the scheduled end of your child's lesson.
5. I will also be emailing you a link to an important podcast regarding how to be the very best piano parent that you can be. Please make it a priority to listen to it, as it will encourage you and inspire you to pursue music studies for your children, despite their protests from time to time.
6. Please check the announcement page weekly, as Theory class schedules will be posted there, along with any important reminders.
Thank you for entrusting your children to me for their music education. I have often heard it said that in order for music lessons to be successful, there needs to be a triangle of communication and cooperation between the student, teacher and parent. Working together, there are no limitations to what we can achieve.
Musically yours,
Mrs. Purchase
