Reminders for June

Dear Parents and Students,

 

Just a few reminders for the month of June:

1. There are NO LESSONS June 3-7. We will have lessons June 10-15

2. Tuition for the month of June is due at that time

3. Re-registration is open and slots are already filling up. The absolute deadline for re-registration is July 1, if space is available. If you are planning to re-register for the fall, now is the time.

4. Carefully read the descriptions for the Courses of Study on the website. The Educational Track is less demanding, The Conservatory Track requires more commitment of time and practice and the Competition Track speaks for itself. When you re-register, please take into consideration the demands on your family in terms of sports, drama, and school.

5. Summer lessons begin on June 24th, but many Tuesdays are already filled. Please contact me to check for available lesson times.

6. This year, an activities fee will be due August 1st. This will include all registrations for Guild, Student Day, Federation, Theory packet and the Spring Recital, based upon your selected Course of Study.Please see the letter below:

Royal Poinciana District (RPD) of the Florida Federation of Music Clubs (FFMC) is pleased to

announce you are a finalist in the 2013-14 Music Competition.

As a top 10 finalist, you are obliged to perform a live competition recital, May 8, 2014 at 7:00

More Congratulations!

Congratulations to Meghan Hanley who completed FSMTA Level 12 Student Day Examinations with Honors! Meghan will be recognized with a beautiful plaque and a check for $100 from FSMTA District VI for her accomplishment. She will also receive $75 from BCMTA for attaining the highest score on her theory exams last fall!

Bravo, Meghan!!!!!

 

Congratulations to the over 25 students who received high Honors ratings at last weekend's FSMTA District VI Students Day examinations. Your hard work really paid off in your wonderful judges comments and your high scores. I am very proud of you all!

Congratulations Jeffrey Drew!

Jeffrey Drew has been selected by the National Chopin Foundation to participate in the Young Pianists Concert on Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Broward County Main Library Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Admission to this concert of performers from top studios around Dade and Broward County is free and open to the public. Jeffrey auditioned for this event on Saturday, March 8th. Congratulations, Jeffrey!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Luke Ferraguti, former student, currently studying at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt, won the 

Vanderbilt University Concerto Competition

held Sunday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m.

 Judges announced the winners at the end of the evening, and Luke 

will perform as featured soloist with the Vanderbilt Wind

Symphony in February and the Vanderbilt University Orchestra on April 11th.
