This event is very special to me and beneficial to our studio as it funds student performance opportunities and enrichment, competitions, summer camp scholarships, Student Day, teacher enrichment, etc. We also partner with a worthy charity. This year's recipient is 4Kids of South Florida, Inc. We are so proud and happy to have our "Kids Playing for Kids in Crisis". I will be sending out the Sponsor Letter and the Pledge Sheet in plenty of time for you and your child to seek sponsors for this worthwhile event.

August Reminders

Dear Studio Families,

Summer is flying by and now we are in the month of August with school starting right around the corner.
The schedule is just about set for the fall and I will be emailing it out to you by the first of next week, along with the studio calendar. Just a few reminders as we head into the fall:
*
1. The summer project will be heard the first week in September at your lesson. Students new to the studio, of course, are exempt from this requirement. I will also be asking to hear your keyboard skills and repertoire, so please come prepared!
*
2. The Activities Fee is now past due (due by August 1) for each student. Please go online to determine which fee is appropriate for your track of study.
*
3. September tuition (#1 of 10) will be due at your first lesson in September, even if your actual first lesson of the year is in August.
*
4. Unfortunately COVID is still very much in our lives and we now have the Delta Variant. As of now, we will begin the school year in person and see how it goes. If you, your child or anyone in your household has a fever, sore throat, cough, is sick in any way, has been exposed to Covid or has traveled outside of our area within the two weeks before your lesson, please let me know and we will have your lesson online until you are clear or the two weeks is past. I promise you the same courtesy.
*
For the good of our studio families and our own household, I would appreciate you and your child wearing a mask inside our home and studio.
*
I look forward to seeing you soon!
Love,
Mrs. Purchase

JUNE JUNE JUNE!!!!

Dear Parents and Students,

Our Spring Recital is in the books! Thank you to all who participated in making the recital such a fun and entertaining evening. I was so proud of everyone.

I also want to say CONGRATULATIONS to both Michael Drew and Benjamin Griswold whose videos were both selected to be included in the National Chopin Foundations Young Artists online Concert! Great job, boys!

I’m writing to remind you of some important items of information.

1. I am attaching to this email, the Summer Challenge. Please read the criteria carefully. It is important to me that every child participates.

2. Please make sure your child continues to practice their keyboard skills, work ahead in their theory (as long as they understand it) and practice playing their repertoire (memorized pieces). The Summer Challenge is for them to teach themselves a piece of legit and not off the internet music, using the knowledge gleaned from this year of lessons. Students can also work ahead in their method books, play Piano Maestro on the iPad, move up a level in Lion Theory and review key signatures and ear training using the Music Theory Pro App on their phones, tablets or computers!

3. This year there are a total of 5 summer lessons offered and scheduled around our travel. June 22nd, July 20th and 27th, August 3rd and 10th. Please contact me individually as the time will be extremely limited.

4. The Registration Deadline for the 2021-2022 school year is July 1, 2021. This unfortunately is strict deadline as there are several potential students that chose to remain on our waiting list for lessons. Any available spots will be filled on July 2.

In order to Re register: Please go to our website (www.klassicallycool.com), download the Registration forms which must be completely filled out each year. I know some of you have completed the same forms for many years in a row but it greatly helps me with my record keeping. Our business model is a school and I keep these records based the school year. Thank you for your help and understanding in this regard.

Please submit them with the Registration Fee. Registration forms submitted without the fee or with outstanding tuition due will not be considered valid. Please drop them off or mail them to:

Klassically Cool Music School

720 NE 12 Ave
Pompano Beach, Fl
33060

We accept personal, bank and cashiers checks, Venmo (@MaryBeth-Purchase), Square and cash as forms of payment. Unfortunately our bank does not accept CashApp or Zelle.

In closing, I want to sincerely thank you for entrusting me with your child’s musical training. It brings me great joy!

Love as always,

Mrs. Purchase

3. Registration for Fall 2021 is now open and we are accepting registration forms and fees. Please look at the Tuition and Fee Page on this website as there has been a slight increase in tuition for the first time in two years.

4. If you are not planning to return to the studio in the fall, please let me know so that I can offer that space to waiting students.

5. Our Spring Recital is set for Monday night, June 7th at 7PM. We are looking forward to a COVID-19 Protocol fun-filled evening of socially distanced music making! Please let me know if your child is planning to participate.
